polar.lu joins the European Polar Board

During the European Polar Board (EPB) Autumn 2017 Plenary Meeting in Bremerhaven (21-22 November 2017), polar.lu, Luxembourg’s polar network, were welcomed as a new Member.

polar.lu, represented on the EPB Plenary by Ms. Tania Gibéryen, was established in 2014 from Luxembourg’s successful International Polar Year (IPY) 2007-2008 committee – Comité Luxembourgeois pour l’Année Polaire (COLUPO) – and Luxembourg’s national committee of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS-Luxembourg). polar.lu has the mission to connect all Luxembourgish researchers in an inclusive and collaborative manner, and to create opportunities for them in an international context.

The EPB looks forward to working closely with polar.lu and helping to strengthen Luxembourg’s role in the European polar research community. More information on polar.lu can be found here.
