Polar Science for Global Action: Strengthening Climate Preparedness through EU Leadership
Date: November 17th, 2025 - November 17th, 2025
Location: NORCE Brussels, Rue Guimard 9, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
A high-level hybrid event, co-organised by four major EU research projects (PolarRES, CRiceS, PROTECT, and OCEAN ICE), will explore how rapid changes in the Arctic and Antarctic impact Europe’s climate, resilience, and security. In anticipation of the International Polar Year 2032–2033, the event will discuss how scientific insights can inform EU climate and ocean policies. Held in collaboration with the MEP Intergroup on Climate Change and the EU Polar Cluster, it aims to strengthen the science–policy dialogue among EU institutions, Member States, and stakeholders.
