State Institution National Antarctic Science Center (NASC), Ukraine, joins the European Polar Board

During the European Polar Board (EPB) Spring 2022 Plenary Meeting, held online on the 5th and 6th of April, the State Institution National Antarctic Science Center (NASC), Ukraine was welcomed as a new Member.

NASC’s Representative to the EPB, Dr. Evgen Dykyi, is the Institution’s Director, with Head of the Department of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Dr. Andrii Fedchuk, serving as Alternate Representative. NASC, established in 1993, is a State Institution of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It organises annual expeditions to the Ukrainian Antarctic Akademik Vernadsky station, operates the polar research vessel Noosphere, and coordinates Ukrainian research in Antarctica.
