European Polar Board welcomes a New Policy Officer & a Communications Officer

The EPB Secretariat is excited to welcome two new members with passion for the polar regions: Mr Griffith Couser (Policy Officer) and Ms Eva Horovčáková (Communications Officer).

Griffith wrote his bachelor’s and master's theses on Arctic issues, and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Lapland. He has six years of experience at think tanks and a consultancy in Brussels, working on European and Arctic policy, primarily in the area of sustainable development, media, and governance.

Eva specialized in the Arctic during her master studies of International Politics & Migrations at Aalborg University in Denmark (Culture, Communication and Globalisation programme). During her studies she gained many relevant experiences as a Communications, EU & Arctic Affairs trainee at the International Polar Foundation in Brussels and by volunteering at various organizations.

After almost 6 years, the European Polar Board (EPB) had to say goodbye to Joseph Nolan, EPB's Policy Officer since 2016. Joseph has been a great asset to the EPB Secretariat, and we wish him good luck with his new position as Science Officer at the European Global Ocean Observing System (EuroGOOS).
