The EPB Secretariat is excited to welcome a new Project Officer, Marije Tempel.

Marije conducted her Master research on Svalbard during her study in Human Geography. She later on represented the Netherlands during the Emerging Leaders program of Arctic Frontiers where she expanded her network in the Arctic science community. She continued active engagement in events, such as the Dutch Polar Symposium and the Dutch state visit to Norway. Marije has been chairwoman at the Arctic Explorer Foundation since 2020.

We are looking forward to working with Marije!

On a sad note, Pjotr Elshout, who has been such an important part of the Secretariat since 2020, will be leaving us soon. He will start a position at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as an International Science Policy Officer from 1 April 2024. We wish him all the best!
